About the Artist

Nichole was born and raised in the heart of Southwest Oklahoma, where five generations of her family have worked the land. From a young age, she declared to her mother that she would grow up to be an artist—and she meant it. Inspired by her life on the farm, Nichole has built a creative practice rooted in storytelling, heritage, and the beauty of everyday rural life.

Encouraged early on by her high school art teacher, Mrs. Pat Hernandez, Nichole went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Art and a Master’s in Teaching from Cameron University. Though she began her career teaching art in public schools, it wasn’t long before her brother’s gift of a show tent nudged her toward pursuing her own art career. Just three years later, she entered her first art show—and she’s been sharing her work ever since.

Nichole now exhibits at a dozen shows each year and sells her original artwork and surface design collections through her website and across the U.S. Her signature style—farmhouse-inspired watercolor illustrations—features everything from red tractors and barnyard animals to fields of hay, old trucks, and calving cows. These designs have found their way into homes, textiles, stationery, and decor, connecting deeply with those who live or dream of country life.

As a surface designer, Nichole’s process is rooted in authenticity. Watercolor is her medium of choice for its softness, transparency, and the way it allows her to layer color and light—creating a warm, glowing effect that brings her subjects to life. Her designs are a love letter to the rhythms of rural living—the muddy boots, early mornings, truck bed lullabies, and hayfield sunsets.

She often paints in the quiet moments—waiting to help her husband hook up the plow, or just after tucking in her kids, reflecting on days spent raising a family in the fields. Every piece is inspired by the land she loves and the life she’s lived. From her family’s farmhouse to your fabric swatches or paper goods, Nichole’s goal is simple: to make art that the farmer’s wife—or anyone who cherishes the country—feels right at home with.

Let her artwork bring a little piece of the farm to your world.
